The Executive Secretary of the African Academy of Languages (ACALAN), Dr. Lang Fafa Dampha has enjoined Africans in all works of life to embrace the use of their indigenous languages.

He made the call in his Christmas messages to all Africans at home and in the diaspora during an interview with CEOAFRICA in Kigali.

He said, "I am wishing my African brothers and sisters across the world a memorable Christmas celebration, and as we celebrate let us also endeavor to embrace our indigenous languages, they are our pride, our identity and we must seek to promote our languages in all ramification of life "

He also called on parents and guardians to teach their children and wards their indigenous languages so that it becomes part of them as they grow.
