He stated this in an exclusive chat with CEOAfrica at the ongoing ACALAN meeting on the review of PANMAPAL curriculum and collaboration on the linguistic atlas project in Yaounde, Cameroon.
He said, “The development of African culture is paramount and the main stay of this culture is African language. So our development programmes cannot be complete without the effective use and development of African language.”
Dr. Fafa further enjoined African parents to encourage their children and wards to speak African languages.
He said, “I also want to urge all African parents to speak their indigenous African languages to their children so that our culture and languages will remain strong therefore our development will be sustainable.”
